I was looking for a solution to ship several odd sized fine art paintings to Denmark and am glad I found Pak Mail.  They found the best rates, provided several alternatives and were very easy to work with.  Best of all was the quality of work in packaging up the paintings to protect them on the journey.  They arrived safe and sound.  When I had to ship again - it was great to know Michael and his team were only an email away.  They'll come to pick up the shipment too.  Great service, fast, efficient and very professional.

On two occasions, I had to ship a large number of freight across the country and even into Canada in one instance. Mike @ Pak Mail was a super big help, made my life so much easier by taking it on with ease. I just had to let him know what, when and where and the rest was history. We were even a little unorganized and did not have all of our stuff prepared properly for long haul travel, not a problem, Mike took care of it without hesitation. Our equipment was handled and received with great care and not once was I worried about anything. It all arrived on time as promised and he even aided by closely monitoring the shipment, regularly sending me updates without even being asked. I strongly recommend this business for any local or cross country shipping needs!

Dear Mike,

I was absolutely amazed to see my large pallets arrive with the complex packing, boxing and securing of my family treasures.  Fortunately, Steve, the wonderful driver for Old Dominion arrived on time and was willing to stay an extra 1/2 hour to help get the packages off of the pallets so that he could take them back with him.  He went way beyond the call of duty to slice open the boxes, so that I could get the smaller boxes and shrink-wrapped pieces into my garage.  And he and I marveled over the incredible packing job that you did.  He had never seen anything so well packed in all of his years of driving and told me that I needed to call you today.  So, please accept my thanks and rave reviews via this email.  I have not opened all of the smaller boxes yet, but assume that everything is in good shape.  I don't see how anything could have been damaged after the way you packed it. 

It was such a pleasure to work with you--your customer service, friendliness and professionalism set the gold standard!

Postscript….

I worked for about 4 hours today unwrapping and arranging the family treasures.  I was pleasantly surprised that the wrapping was done in a way that was easy to remove. There was not a lot of tape to cut through or cross-wrapping.  It was simply and scientifically done to protect it in shipping but to also protect the customer from frustration and exhaustion in the unwrapping.

I just want to thank Mike and his company for his outstanding service regarding the shipment on a very sensitive piece of medical equipment. His concern for the equipment and communication was only surpassed by the excellent packaging. I'm across country and to leave a multi- thousand dollar item ($10,000 to be exact [new]) in the hands of a stranger was disconcerting to say the least. However, Mike's demeanor on the phone relieved me of any anxieties I may have had.

Hi Mike,

Pak Mail Crate and Freight was the perfect solution for my particular shipping need, a solution both professionally and personably carried out. After the death of my father and the distribution of personal items from our family home in Pittsburgh, I was faced with the daunting task of getting a few items of both personal and monetary value across the continent to Whitehorse, Yukon, in northwestern Canada near Alaska. Packing the somewhat odd-sized and fragile items securely was a high priority, as was dealing with Canada Customs. It turned out that the latter essentially doubled the cost, so Mike from Pak Mail costed out shipping to a nearby Alaskan community of Haines, close enough for us to drive down and take the items through custom ourselves. Mike’s arrangements (truck to Bellingham, barge to Haines) worked perfectly and our parcel arrived safely in Haines in short order, so short in fact that we couldn’t pick it up until a few weeks after its arrival. To ice the cake, the Linden Transport terminal in Haines stored our shipment for free! Thanks to Mike and Pak Mail for their conscientious and courteous anxiety-reducing service at a time when I really needed it!

I have recently used services of Pak Mail Pittsburgh to pick up a painting from Dargate Auction Galleries and to pack and ship it to my address in New Jersey.
They offered 1) the best (cheapest) rate 2) their service was excellent - i.e. the painting was very professionally packed 3) most importantly Pak Mail representative - Ana Duran was excellent in communicating with me both by phone and email. I would highly recommend their services.

Recently my father, who lived in Pittsburgh PA, passed away suddenly. Our family had to take apart their home. We are three children who all live on different coasts. Pak Mail Pittsburgh did our packing, shipping and delivery with such care for our valuables, such kindness with us and such wonderful and freindly service I will never use any other service and highly recommend them to any one. We shipped mirrors,furniture, antiques to Florida, A full set of dishes, antiques, furniture and crystal to California, they items were well packed, delivered on time and with care and courtesy to our busy schedules. Not one item was lost, and not a chip on any item! But the best part of my experience was the incredible service on both the shipping and delivery locations. Terrific communication, service and care. Thanks to Mike at Pak Mail all our memories were preserved.

My siblings & I recently lost our mother and it was necessary to close her apartment which only added to the weight of our loss. Mom lived in Sewickley, PA and the three of us live in the southwest and we were faced with the very real challenge of finding someone in an place that none of lived in and in whom we could trust. As importantly, we needed someone who could ensure that our family "treasures" would be be handled with respect, packed with care and shipped safely. And then, of course there's the money. Michael & his staff at Pak Mail Pittsburgh exceeded our expectations in every respect. These folks are sensitive, efficient and highly professional, very user friendly and easy to work with. We could not be more appreciative of the service they provided us and it is difficult  to imagine that another company could do a better job at a better price.

I had the pleasure of working with Pak Mail Pittsburgh for shipment of a vintage dining room set from a family estate in Pittsburgh to Cincinnati. Everything about the process was efficient and professional - from the first contact to the follow-up. Most impressive was the consideration for scheduling the pick-up, assisting my family to get items loaded to several vehicles plus the most comprehensive packing I have ever seen. Even the team I hired here to unload the shipment remarked they had never - ever - seen such a spectacular job of packing. For the size of this job - under 1500 lbs. - Pak Mail was the ideal solution. Thanks!

This service was not only most affordable (~1$ per pound) but Mike was very prompt with updates. I packed my belongings- they took them all out to the truck (1 flight of stairs, about 6 steps involved); my boxes were saran-wrapped into 2 bundles and strapped onto a pallet. The person who delivered was kind enough to haul away the pallets. So far, no damage to my belongings and everything arrived safely in a week!

I had two days in Pittsburgh to pack up my husband's childhood belongings and I found pakmail on the internet. I sent an email to Mike on Saturday and had a response within an hour (if not less). I had packed up 14 boxes and needed them shipped to Fairbanks Alaska. I am an American living in Barcelona, Spain. When I recently had to ship some personal belongings and precious family heirlooms--some almost two hundred years old--from Irwin, PA, east of Pittsburgh, to Barcelona, I got got in touch with Pak Mail in Cranberry. I was on an extremely tight deadline and nervous because of the value of the heirlooms. Mike MacDonald and his wife Ana Duran came almost immediately, and on a Sunday no less, (it turns out that they live in my home town!!) to weigh items and take measurements. They sent an estimate in a few days and came shortly thereafter to pick up the items.

Mike kept me informed of the status of the shipment via e-mail every step of the way. Everything arrived in perfect condition, all items very carefully wrapped, packed and mounted on a pallet. Since my husband's company regularly does international business through a particular customs agent here in Barcelona, we decided to take care of customs and delivery ourselves on this end. This reduced our initial costs and proved to be very easy. However, whatever delivery option you choose, I'm sure that Mike can advise you well.

Both Mike and Ana are thoroughly professional and a delight to deal with. Ana speaks Spanish, which is an added benefit for those who need to ship to Latin America or Spain. I am completely satisfied with the service they provided and highly recommend them for any shipping needs. I will certainly contact them again when I next need to ship things home.

Lot's of choices when it comes to shipping packages and I've found that personal service is the difference. This Pak Mail store really does a good job because of the people who work there. Very informatitive and polite. They speak Spanish too.
